The questions people always ask us.
If yours is not here, email either partner directly. We would rather answer it now than in a meeting you had to book first.
What does Kayra Partners actually do?
We help companies enter, operate and grow in the United States through a fully integrated, hands-on model. From strategy and localization through market entry, regulatory navigation and execution, we act as your local extension, so the expansion is coordinated, compliant and commercially successful rather than a set of parallel workstreams nobody owns.
How are you different from big consulting or CPA and legal firms?
Traditional expansion relies on fragmented advisors. A consultancy, a law firm, an accountant, a trade body, each working in isolation. We replace that with a unified, operator-led model that combines strategy, execution, compliance and market engagement under one accountable team.
The practical difference is that we help build, run and scale your US presence rather than describing how it should be done. Both Managing Directors have held the operating seat, which is why the engagement ends with something working rather than something recommended.
Do you only work with international companies?
No. Market entry work is for companies coming into the United States. Our fractional C-suite work is open to any company, including US-based ones that need an experienced operating or commercial executive without making a full-time hire.
What types of companies do you work with?
Companies from emerging markets building a footprint in the US, including the Middle East, Turkey, South East Asia, Africa and Eastern Europe, as well as US companies expanding into those geographies.
Sector-wise we take work in technology, life sciences and biotechnology, and AI and digital. That is a narrower list than most firms publish, and it is deliberate. We only take engagements where one of us has held the operating seat in that sector.
What services do you provide?
We cover the entire expansion lifecycle, and can run the full process or specific modules depending on what you need.
- Strategy development. Market sizing, competition, regulatory landscape, financial modelling
- Localization. Company setup, compliance, branding, hiring through our partner ecosystem
- Go-to-market and growth. Pricing, distribution channels, sales enablement, marketing
- Execution and monitoring. Operational arm, continuous insight, expansion support
What problems do you solve for international companies?
We eliminate the pain points that stall most expansions: fragmented advisory structures, slow decision cycles, regulatory uncertainty, misalignment across multiple parties, no real in-market presence, and inefficient or costly execution.
In place of that we create a coherent execution framework supported by local operators, which is what makes an entry accelerated and accountable rather than merely planned.
What engagement models do you offer?
We tailor the structure to your stage: project-based, retainer, a-la-carte modules, revenue-share or equity options, or full-suite ownership where we run everything end to end.
That flexibility exists so we can align with your runway, your risk profile and your growth ambition rather than forcing all three to fit one commercial model.
How long does a typical engagement take?
Most clients see formal establishment and market activation in six to twelve months, depending on sector and regulatory complexity. Because our operational ecosystem is already in place, some companies move faster than that.
Two things worth knowing before you call
We say no reasonably often
- Outside technology, life sciences and biotech, or AI and digital, we are not the right firm
- If the mandate is advisory only with no execution attached, that is a different engagement
- If you need a large delivery team across many workstreams at once, a bigger firm fits better
The first call costs nothing
- It is a conversation about your situation, not a scoped pitch
- You will get a straight answer on fit, including when the answer is no
- Where we are not the right team, we will usually point you somewhere better
